The following is an overview of the available parameters:
- Normal: Generates a Normal map from the input image when enabled.
- Invert Direction: Inverts the direction of the generated Normal map.
- Low Frequency: Controls the influence of the lower frequencies of the input image when generating the Normal map.
- Medium Frequency: Controls the influence of the medium frequencies of the input image when generating the Normal map.
- Medium Frequency Flatness: Flattens the medium frequencies of the Normal map.
- High Frequency: Controls the influence of the high frequencies of the input image when generating the Normal map.
- High Frequency Softness: Softens the higher frequencies of the Normal map resulting in a surface with less noise.
- Synthesize Detail: Adds additional surface detail to the generated Normal map.
- Strength: Controls the strength of the generated Normal map.
The Medium Frequency Flatness
parameter is useful when materializing surfaces such as tiled stone or bricks. Flattening the medium frequencies provides a smoother surface for floors and other ground surfaces.
As the effect increases, notice how the bricks become less pillow-shaped.
